Emily Wauters
(2004-

Hosteria Vilcabamba 29 June 2009
Although she is only 5, Emily is an active member of fthe team.
Indeed, children are born into this world to teach us everything (if only we were
to listen, big sigh..)
For a start she is a great cook, never mind the sharpness of the knife and the warnings
from a totally panicked audience, she wants to help and does not take no for an
answer. "Look" she seems to say, "I can chop these mushrooms and
I don't even need to watch my fingers"

She has an attraction for boiling liquids such as the fresh batch of red currant
jam

She is very sweet with all living creatures no matter how small
We found a dead kingfisher the other day and she hold its little body tenderly
Emily loves butterflies
And babies of course

Boys are in love, she's not so sure yet
She still prefers daddy who enjoys it while it lasts
In a past life (or is it in this one?) she must have been a fairy

Does she like Ecuador? You bet !
It has iguanas
A great climate and beautiful environment especially to play bubbles, what else
would one rather be doing?

And here she found her best friend so far, in the streets of Vilcabamba
"Tui" (this is the name we chose for her black color with a bit of white
under the chin, like the New Zealand bird of the same name) was a street dog like
many around here. No longer, she has become Emily's doormat.
And recently, she became friend for life with Nina, our puppy boxer.
